Windows 10: How to Fix Login Duplicated After Changing Name and Primary Email on My Microsoft Account

I changed to my married name on my Microsoft account and added my new email as an alias, which I then made the primary email on my account. I have two PC's and both have the settings set to bypass login when I start the PC. This works on my main computer, but doesn't anymore on my second PC, which now has two different logins for the same account and the one that comes up when I start the PC says incorrect password and shows the previous email I used to log in with. If I click on the other login it has the correct email, but tries to force me to set up Windows hello which I don't want to do. T

Unable to change primary alias - Microsoft Account

I would like to provide you with the information that
an account alias is an email address or phone number that you use to sign in to your Microsoft account. You can have multiple aliases, and use any of them with Microsoft services such as Outlook.com, Skype, OneDrive,
Office, Xbox, Windows and more.

Your primary alias appears on devices such as your Xbox, Surface, and Windows Phone, and is the email OneDrive sends from when you share. You can choose a different alias to be the primary one at any time.

An alias is also the best way to change your email, but keep all your mail.
Add an alias, then make the new alias primary. Then you can
keep or remove the original alias.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Sign in to the
  Microsoft account website.
• Under Account aliases, click/tap on the Make primary link to the right of an
  
  added email alias you want to be your primary alias.

Note: The email alias at the top of the list without a Make primary link is your current primary alias.

• Uncheck the Send me promotional offers from Microsoft box if you like, and click/tap on Yes to confirm.

You may also try the following steps given below and check if that helps.

• Navigate to Start>Settings>Account>Your Account.
• In the right pane, click on Sign in with a local account instead.
• Provide your current Microsoft Account Password.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.
• You can leave the Enter Password option empty, however, it is highly recommended to keep a password on your system to keep it safe.

User account info lost after changing login email






I recently changed my main Microsoft account login email and after doing so, all my 10 machines no longer show my name on the login screen (shows my email address twice) or in the Start menu (only shows the email address) and as you can see in the above screenshot, permissions no longer show as my login and email address.

Things I've done so far to try and correct it:

1. Change my account to local login, then back to my Microsoft login, which temporarily corrected it, but then after a few restarts, the info gets lost again
2. Manually added my name in Computer Management > System Tools > Local Users and Groups > Users... this fixed it, but again, only until a restart

Has anyone else experienced something like this and no of a way to correct it (and make it stick)?

 

Unable to finish change of primary (login) email to MS account

I have personal MS account without Office 365 and other pair services. Only for Windows logins. I had old email "A" and now i have new email "B".

So i changed email address:

• add new contact email "B"
  
• set "B" as primary alias
  
• deleted "A"
  

So i now see only primary alias address "B" and my phone number under contacts (login aliases) in my account administration. On that screen there is nothing about old "A" address now.

But! When i go to some MS login (one drive, MS online account, ..) i enter "B" as login and it is recognized well. BUT - instead of password input some "verification code" is sent to old address "A" - BUG!

Side note: it is lucky that old "A" email is still working for me.

I am totally lost in neverending FAQs and no way how to fix it. Please help me how to eliminate old "A" email address as contact and login address.
