Windows 10: How to fix microphone somehow records background instead of voice?

Hello, so when I start recording the voice recorder only records the background instead of voice.


I need a fix for that please.

Are you referring to Windows voice recorder app?



You may follow the below steps and check.



1. In the Search option of the taskbar type “Microphone privacy settings” without quotes and press enter.

2. In the right side, make sure “Let apps use my microphone” slider is
on state.

3. Also make sure Windows voice recorder app is turned on in the “Choose apps that can use your microphone” section.

4. Now restart the Windows voice recorder app and check.



You may also follow the below steps and check.



1. In the Search option of the taskbar type “sound” without quotes and press enter.

2. Click on the recording tab, Select the “Microphone” and click on Set as default.

3. If you don’t see the microphone listed, Right click on the blank/empty space inside the recording tab.

4. Make sure “show disabled and disconnected devices” are tick marked.

5. Follow the step 2.

Voice recording in background

Hello,

Is it possible to record voice while the recorder application is in the background ?
Is it possible ro record voice which user hears from the phone speaker ?

If so, then how ?

Headset/Microphone background reduction; suggestions

There's a solution to this out there, but I cannot pinpoint the right search terminology to get accurate results.


When I speak into my microphone, whatever sound is being sent into my headphones, is also directly sent to the microphone and outputted upon transmit.

This means that it's not a case of the sound coming out of the headphones, then travelling to the microphone, it's actually going straight to the microphone instead.

All I've come up with so far, is a suggestion to mute the microphone input via Windows. Though that seems to render the microphone useless.
