Windows 10: How to fix my cpu after my pc crashed ?

So yesterday I was playing like normal nothing glitched or something like that at all just a day of playing, out of nothing my pc crashes and i plug it out. I started my pc and it was laggy idk why but everything i opend took like 5 times more the cpu % than normally it would normally like, if i open a game wich normally takes just 20-40 % it would take 90% or more and overall all was laggy, the day after. today i start my pc and all is the same.I started a quick scan for virus but it told me i have none.btw: i cant reset the pc because it has some files that i cant lose.Ram 16gbCpu IntelR

W1zzard is asking you to test so that he can suggest next steps and be able to troubleshoot the issue you have.
If another version works, it would be one set of steps.
If several other versions also fail/crash, then it would be another.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??
