Windows 10: how to fix my desktop Icons keep moving after reboot?

Desktop Icons keep moving after reboot My desktop icons keep moving after reboot. I've tried deleting the icon cache and the desktop.ini files, and they still more after reboot. I've also deleted the bags file in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags still didn't work. Yes, I also unchecked the auto arrange and unchecked the align icons to grid and also unchecked to allow themes to change desktop icons. I also make a new user profile on my pc and it still does it. I even when as far as reinstalling Windows 11 Pro with 23h2 and nope still does it. All of my drivers a

A user has two monitors, one 1920 res (primary) and the other 1280x1040 (secondary).

He moves all his icons to where he wants on the desktop and then after a reboot they all move back to the way they were.

I have made sure Windows 10 is full up to date and on the latest feature set.

All drivers are up to date.

Desktop Icon Keeps On Moving

That's because your resolution is changing each time. To test, try setting to 1024x768, arrange a couple of icons and then restart the PC. As long as the resolution after startup is still 1024x768, then the icons won't move. Trust me. *Wink
