Windows 10: How to fix my pc going back in time?

Yesterday i used my pc like normal, no issues. Today i started up my pc and it has reverted to what it looked like a few months ago. I have opera as a search engine which i had a few months ago and in one of the tabs i have dragon ball playing which i finished a few months ago. Bunch of recently downloaded apps are also gone. Basically it went back in time to what it was before. Why has this happened? I havent done anything wrong, i didnt do anything to bios or whatever. All i did was shut down my pc yesterday and now everything is messed up.

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

 

Time to go Quad? . . .

Hey everyone! Just arrived home after 2 weeks in Egypt - was not the best of holidays, 'spesh with the crappy food (All inclusive sucks *Laugh :laugh and 50+ degree heat EVERY DAY AND NIGHT. Nonetheless, i had saved £200 for this holiday, but the exchange rate kicks arse (£1 gets you 10 Egyptian pounds, so 1:10) and i hardly spent any money, purchasing a small camel for work and a bottle of jim beam whiskey for myself.

So, with around £180 to burn, i sat and asked myself if it was time to bite the bullet and order a quad core, or whether i should wait. Nehalem doesnt interest me, so thats not an issue. My Current worries / questions are:

• A Suitable moterboard allowing decent overclocking.
• A suitable CPU - Q6600 is my initial, and if so, which one? energy efficient, GO Stepping (What the hell is GO Stepping anyway?) etc etc.
• Botleknecks. Will a Q6600, lets say, be held back by my GT?
• And finally price.

If anyone could offer any advice, it would help me sleep easier tonight, haha.

PC Won't go to sleep - Fixed Feature Power Button

Hi recently my laptop won't go to sleep, after one second is back from sleep saying that the power button was the trigger for waking up.




I tried everything that I saw in similar post all over the forums.

1. All the drivers updated
2. Turn of all wake timers and allow device to wake up the computer from mouse, keyboard, Realtek PCIe Controller, Wireless AC.
3. Turn "wake computer" from UpdateOrchestrator in Task Scheduler
4. Run all the troubleshooters from windows
5. Reinstalled Windows latest build
6. Tried on older Windows build

Has anyone can suggest anything else ?
It drives me crazy , its suddenly happened and now a can't find any solution
