Windows 10: How To Fix NVIDIA Display Settings Are Not Available

Hello, I have a friend that got this issue today, well few months ago this problem also appeared on my pc and luckily I fixed it by enabling Nvidia display container ls through services to automatic.Once I told my friend to do the same thing, but once he opened the services in his laptop, he found out that all nvidia services were missing.I tried looking up for a solution but i didn't find anything on net, I really don't know what he did exactly like if he deleted it by mistake or what, hopefully someone answer my question.Thanks in advance !

NVIDIA display settings are not available

i just buy this laptop last month , my laptop is hp pavilionx360 convertible 14-ba0xx , i cant open my NVidia control panel and when i right click , it appear " NVIDIA display settings are not available, you are not currently using a display attached to
an NVIDIA GPU", my NVIDIA is NVIDIA Geforce 940MX.

I understand the inconvenience that you are unable to make your laptop sleep completely also unable to access NVidia display settings. We will help you to resolve this issue.



Please let us know with the model of NVIDIA graphic card you are using.

Method 1:

I would have you boot the computer in safe mode and then try shutting down the computer.



If the issue still persists, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Check if the NVIDIA graphics card is detected in device manager. If it is detected, update it's drivers and check if that helps.

  Right click on the Start button from the desktop and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  In the list of Hardware categories, double-click the category your device is in and then double-tap the device you want. For example, to see your video card, click Display adapters, and then double-click the video
  card name.
  
• 
  Click the Driver tab, click
  Update Driver, and then follow the instructions. You might be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.
  

Step 2: If that does not fix the issue, please reinstall the display adapter drivers.

• 
  Right click on the Start button from the desktop and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate and expand Display adapter.
  
• 
  Right-click on the Display adapter that is listed and click “Uninstall”.
  

Restart the computer and download, install the latest drivers from the NVIDIA website.

NVIDIA Display settings are not available

Hi all.

I got problems with "NVIDIA Display settings are not available" after an upgrade of Windows 10.

After trying "everything" I visited the web site of the manufacturer for the PC (in my case Acer) and downloaded driver for the HP 520 and NVIDIA 920M.

This solved the problem.
