    How to fix one audio jack recognized wrongly and other not recognized at all?


    I have new Gigabyte G5 MF and I am using windows 1. When I insert the microphone jack3.5 little box show up asking me did I inserted headphones or headset. my other port headphones is not recognized at all. There is no pop up or any other indication that it exist. I updated all the drivers I could and I do not know what to do. Any help?

    I would first just like to check how exactly the gaming headset is connected to your PC...
    • By a splitter do you mean both a mic and audio (red and green) jacks?
    • Or is it all through a USB port?

    Would I be correct in saying that it connects through USB OR using a Audio 'combined' jack > Audio jack and Mic jack
    Meaning that the USB OR the Audio jack and Mic jack are connected to the computer.

    Edit: Also when you say you have tried the other computer. Did the drivers and the audio program install automatically?
    In addition when it worked on the other computer, was it connect via USB or by using the two audio jacks?

    Headphone Jack not Recognized in Windows 11

    Uninstalled and then reinstalled the audio driver....no change...the headphone jack only recognizes something if plugged in when the laptop is restarted. Once you unplug and plug back in it is no longer recognized until the restart

    Headphone Jack does not recognize headset microphone

    Hello,

    Since a couple days the 3.5mm headphone jack of my computer does not recognize my headset microphone. When its plugged in the audio output works, but it says there is no microphone connected. It does recognize the headphones (audio output).

    I already tried all of the following troubleshooting tips:

    • The headset works on other devices (Laptop with Windows 11, PlayStation)
    • Adjusting privacy settings.
    • Enabling microphone in device manager (however this is not possible because it says its not connected)
    • Reinstalling the device in control panel.
    • Updating drives, windows etc.
    • Other headsets also have the same problem on that port.
