Windows 10: How to fix opening Computer Management from Right Clicking ThisPC on desktop?

Do not respond with answers to fix this I already know what caused it and how to fix it.I am posting this as just one example, of many, as to why I now run Linux for my daily driver, will NEVER upgrade to Win11 or 12Cloud PC for the love of god-buy thousands of dollars for MY HARDWARE and MS OWNS IT? Nope -NOT gonna fly.I have free software alternatives ti literally ALL the software I ever used on Windows and in a lot of cases it is the exact same software that I run on Windows. Such as Firefox, Avidemux, MKVtools,Audacity, Gimp,Filebot, VLC, Discord, filezilla, Qbittorrent, Steam and ALL m

Right Click Crash + Chrome not opening

To assist you better, I would like to know the results of the SFC scan.

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps to resolve the explorer issue.

• 
  Press Alt+ctr+Del from Desktop.
  
• 
  Select Task Manager.
  
• 
  Under process tab, locate Windows Explorer.
  
• 
  Right Click Windows Explorer and select End Task.
  
• 
  Now select on File tab and click Run Task.
  
• 
  Type explorer.exe and press ok.
  
• 
  Check if the issue persists.
  

Please try to install all the available updates for the Chrome and check if it helps.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to run the program in Compatibility mode.

Please follow the below steps:

• Right click on the Program.
• Click on Properties.
• Click on Compatibility tab and select Run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows 8 from it.
  

If the issue persists in File explorer, The DISM or System Update Readiness tool may help you to fix some Windows corruption errors.

File Explorer crashes after Right Click in Desktop


Download: ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows
NOTE: download version 1.97 or later, else Restart Explorer won't work in step 4

1. This program does not require installation, just right click and run as Administrator
2. From the menu, click on Options then click on Filter by Extension Type and select Context Menu. Also put check marks as shown
   
   
   
3. Click on the screen, Hold down CTRL Key+A to select all then click on the red button on top left corner to disable all.
4. Click on the Options again and select Restart Explorer
5. Now try to right click on desktop to see if it fixes your problem. If it does then start to enable one by one and repeat step 4 until the problem occurs again, that's the offending extension.

Step 1:

I would like to suggest that you log into Safe Mode with networking and check if the issue persist, if not try the steps below.

Step2:

I suggest that you update your drivers. Follow the steps below to perform an update.

• Click on the Start button, and type “Device Manager” on the search bar.
• Open Device Manager, expand “Mice and other pointing devices”.
• Find and double-click graphic adapter
  from the left panel to uninstall.
• Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.
• Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click
  OK to remove the driver.
• After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer.
• After you have successfully uninstalled the driver, please go to the computer manufacturer’s website, download the Windows 10 driver for your computer and check.

Step 3: Download drivers for 8.1 and install in compatibility mode. Follow the steps below to do so:

  Right click on the setup file and select Properties.
  
  
  
• 
  Click the compatibility tab, tick the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows.
