    How to fix output audio becoming muffled when mic is in use?


    I'm currently trying to record a song on my laptop using Bandlab, however the background music im using becomes silent when I'm about to record the vocals. The audio output only picks up dialogues or voices but not the background music. The output sounds more like when you use noise cancelling features where you can hear the voices and the audio gets cut off when there are loud unrelated noises. This really only happens when the mic is turned on.

    All my audio recordings are muffled (Windows 10)

    I got a new Lenovo laptop (ideapad 330s) with Windows 10. I am trying to record songs on audacity using an external mic and the audio output is bad and muffled. I tried a different recording app and the issue persists. The laptop mic gives me a much worse
    audio output.

    Have used the external mic on my old laptop and it works just fine. The drivers are up to date. And i cannot find the audio enhancement option to disable. This is extremely frustrating. Please help

    My headset microphone outputs static/very muffled sound

    so i got a new headset for xmas today and when i plug the headset into the mic jack on my pc and go and record using audacity, it playbacks static/muffled audio. it is not a problem with the mic on the headset because it worked fine on my ipad. my pc does
    get really dusty so mabye some dust could have fell in to the inside of the port and muffled the audio?

    well i had this problem fixed but for some reason it's back and it won't go away no matter what i do i can't figure out how to fix it
    I can hear my microphone through my headphones and speakers i have listen to device unchecked
    but the weird part is when i try to record my voice my mic doesn't work at all i can't hear anything i've tried muting "microphone" in speaker propetiies and that stops it but i still can't use my mic at all
    it's making me really angry*Mad
    i should probably mention that it's an internal mic
