Windows 10: How to fix overrun stack based buffed when laptop is locked?

Hi,I tried to perform a clean boot on my laptop as my headphones weren’t connecting, ever since my laptop restarted it has not let me use my fingerprint to log in and when I try to set up a passcode it glitches out and doesn’t let me. I got a pop up message saying ‘overrun stack based buffet in this application’? How can I get into my laptop??

Help with this? 'The system detected an overrun of a stack-based...'

On a Windows 10 desktop today there was this error message...

“The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application“

Any suggestion as to what the problem is and how to rectify the problem?

 

System reports "detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer" in iexplorer

We ran into a system alert box (screenshot as below) complaining "an overrun of a stack-based buffer" in iexplorer randomly.





The OS is Windows Server 2019 and is in zh-CN language. The error message can be translated as "The system detected an overrun of a stack-based
buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application".

Iexplorer looks functioning normal after dismissing the alert, but it's really annoying to our users.

Anyone can help with

1) why this happens? how can it be fixed?

2) if it's a but from IE or system, how can we avoid this alert?

3) is it possible to disable system from prompting this kind of alert?

Stack-based buffer overrun/overflow

I received info on my PC when I re-start it: Stack-based buffer overrun/overflow of a stack-based buffer in this application. svchost.exe

So I wrote to Bitdefender and received this answer:

Stack-based buffer overrun/overflow is a bug it means that a program writes more data to a buffer located on the stack than that is actually allocated for the buffer. It is a general programming malfunction.



This issue is with Microsoft Windows, and thus please contact Microsoft in regards to this as we can only assist with Bitdefender related issues.

I'm so worry. I don't know what to do? Need some help.
