Windows 10: How to fix photos app not showing any images on my computer?

I was trying to put images into a folder in photos to make a slideshow background on my computer. This was when I discovered there are no images in the photos app even though there are plenty of jpeg's on my computer.I've reset the photos app, and uninstall/reinstalled it and nothing has helped at all. I can't find any resources on this specific problem either. Please help me, thanks.

Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?

If your Photos app is not showing local images, it's possible that the app may not be properly configured to access the local storage on your device. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

Check the Photos settings: Open the Photos app, tap on the "Photos" tab, and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Make sure that "iCloud Photos" is turned off. If it's on, your local photos may not be showing up in the app.

Check the device settings: Go to "Settings" > "Privacy" > "Photos" and make sure that the Photos app is enabled. If it's not, the app may not have permission to access your local photos.

Restart the Photos app: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the App Switcher, then swipe left or right to locate the Photos app. Swipe it up to close the app. Reopen the Photos app and see if your local photos are now showing up.

Restart your device: Sometimes restarting your device can help resolve issues with app functionality. Press and hold the power button until the "slide to power off" slider appears. Slide to power off and wait a few seconds before powering the device back on.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to reset the Photos app by deleting and reinstalling it. Note that this will remove all local photos stored within the app.

There is a possibility that there is an app or a driver conflicting with the photos app and causes this issue to arise. We suggest that you follow these troubleshooting steps to fix this.

• Uninstall the Photos app.
• Perform Clean Boot - This troubleshooting step makes sure that there are no third party apps is causing software conflicts
  as it only loads minimum drivers and startup programs. Note: Please go through the section: How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot of the KB article to boot the computer in normal
  startup after fixing the issue.
• Reinstall the Photos app.
