Windows 10: How to fix resolution problem

Hello, My name is Alex and I recently bought a PC and it’s been working for 2 days straight until I opened up Fortnite on the 3rd day and my monitor displayed “The screen is not currently set to the recommended resolution. Configure the PC resolution to 1920x1080. The 1920x1080 resolution configuration may not be supported on some PCs.” I tried playing other games but when they load in the game freezes and resets my whole pc, I’ve tried multiple things such as changing my pc settings resolution, my nvidia resolution, and even updating my graphics card, Nothings works and i wanted to know if

Firstly, try to install all the available Windows Updates and check if it fixes the issue.

I suggest you to change the screen resolution settings and check if it fixes the issue. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key and type Change Screen Resolution and click on the option listed.

Resolution change problem

Booting your computer into safe mode may help resolve the issue. Safe mode will adjust your computer's resolution back to default, thus make your monitor or tv work again. Follow the steps below:

• Power On your PC.
  
• Press F8 during the first 10-15 seconds of your computer booting up.
  
• Advance Boot Options should load, select Safe Mode.
  
• Once in Safe Mode, try adjusting the resolution settings.
  
• Restart your computer.
  

If the issue still persists after doing the steps, we suggest using another monitor to help resolve the issue.
