I did a factory reset on my Dell Inspiron 16 7640 because I wanted a fresh restart and all my junk gone. After I did, the wireless drivers corrupted. I’m trying to reinstall the driver off a thumb stick but when I do its says “This installation is forbidden by system policy. Contact your system administrator” despite me being the administrator of my own laptop. How do I fix this? I need my laptop for school and break is almost over.

I am trying to install the wifi driver for a optiplex 3040, when ever I try to run the installer it shows installation forbidden by system policies ,contact your system Administrator I Tried Turning off the vender signed updates and followed some steps from YouTube videos but I am unable to find a solution.

The device in question is a SanDisk 16gb usb drive. It works ok on this Win 7 computer, and it works ok on another Win 10 computer, but on one Win 10 machine I get this message, "The installation of this device is forbidden by system policy."

What's the fix?
