    How to fix this "not responding"?


    I am facing this issue since 2 days ,Whenever I try to open any drive file explorer just crashing, and I am getting white file symbols in every filesi tried everything from internet I tried "sfc \scannow" it detects nothing I tried deleting"iconcache" file but I didn't find it anywhereI tried restarting file explorer from task manager I tried updating display drive but it's already updated Please help me i can't work without transferring files

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    Programs not working

    In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
