Windows 10: How to fix touchscreen issue, up is down, and down is up, but left and right is the same....

Hey!So this problem has been going on for months and now I am tired of itMy touchscreen laptop Gateway 14.1" Ultra Slim has this issue where the touchscreen inverts up and down whenever I touched it.I have tried updating the drivers couldn't because they're the most recent.I have tried restarting Didn't workI have tired changing the orientation Didn't workPlease help!

Windows 10 Issues with Right and Left Mouse Click

Follow the steps mentioned below and check if the issue is resolved:

Step 1:

I would like to suggest that you log into Safe Mode with networking and check if the issue persist, if not try the steps below.

Step2:

I suggest that you update your drivers. Follow the steps below to perform an update.

• Click on the Start button, and type “Device Manager” on the search bar.
• Open Device Manager, expand “Mice and other pointing devices”.
• Find and double-click graphic adapter
  from the left panel to uninstall.
• Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.
• Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click
  OK to remove the driver.
• After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer.
• After you have successfully uninstalled the driver, please go to the computer manufacturer’s website, download the Windows 10 driver for your computer and check.

Step 3: Download drivers for 8.1 and install in compatibility mode. Follow the steps below to do so:

• 
  Right click on the setup file and select Properties.
  
  
  
• 
  Click the compatibility tab, tick the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows.

Up down left right arrows

Hi Laura,.

I suggest you to check if the following steps helps to resolve the issue.

• Right click on the Windows key and Go to control panel.
• On the upper right corner change the view by to small icon.
• Click on mouse.
• Then click on ‘wheel’ tab.
• Set the values for horizontal and vertical scrolling.

and see if it helps to resolve the issue.

Windows 10 touchscreen touch only upper left corner after upgrade to 1703

My old Asus i5 x64 tablet was working fine with windows 10 for a while. Yesterday however it got the 1703 upgrade which has broken the touchscreen functionality.

This tablet comes with an additional wacom pen which works fine, however when I touch the screen, I see that only the upper left corner gets triggered. Regardless of where I touch, it is always upper left.

This tablet is old, there is no hardware drivers that I can update and since windows force installs updates automatically it has basically made my tablet useless.

Things I've tried:

• Recalibrating the display
  
• Disabling/Re-Enabling HID touchscreen
  
• Removing/Re-adding HID touchscreen
  
• Searched for more updates on the hardware
  
• Disabling snapping (was disabled)
  

Edit: So user Ramhound suggested to revert to previous edition, that fixed the issue but since you cannot defer updates indefinitely, the problem will resurface later.
