Windows 10: How to fix: Voice Recorder plays back some MPEG-4 Audio, but not others?

I've recorded some items using "Voice Recorder" on Windows 10. One plays back fine using Windows Media Player. Another won't play at all, but the play bar moves along fine. A third gives me a pop up message (with the red x),saying "...cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." When I click on "Web Help," which is about Windows 7 and says, "You got an error message while using Windows Media Player. Unfortunately, specific info about the error isn't currently available." So why would one work? Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

We suggest that you run troubleshooting for Audio Recording by following these steps:

• Type troubleshooting on the search box.
• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.

6230i MPEG-4

hi, i downloaded a video from my PC into my phone over bluetooth and it transferred no problem.

the video is MPEG-4 (ie .mp4 with aac audio)

when played back, the video plays no problem, but the audio doesn't

the clip was converted to MPEG-4 using anyvideoconverter - video 176x144, 128 kb/s, 25 fps

audio aac,64 kb/s

sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, i had a look through the forums but couldn't find the answer i was looking for.

Hi,

I have a Nokia N70, and as you know can play MPEG 4 movies and clips. So, can someone tell me that when an MPEG 4 clip has been made through Pinnacle Studio Plus 10.5, and sent via bluetooth to the N70, it does not play the video, but only the audio. BUT when
you send the clip, via bluetooth, to a Sony Ericsson W550 you get perfect results......is there something in the N70 that does not allow this playback, and if so is there anyway it can be enabled. I have also tried the same thing on a Nokia 6680, but its the
same as the N70, wont play video, just the audio......please help.
