Windows 10: How to fix VSS issue in Windows 10 64 stopping backup

I tried to make a system image backup in Windows 10 64 today and received an error message stating that VSS was not working. I checked MSCONFIG and found it was off, so I went into system services and turned it back on and started it, then rebooted. When I tried again to make a windows backup, I received the same message.

Hi, two repair utilities come to mind:

a. Tweaking.com's free cautious repair tool offers a number of repairs. One of them is VSS.
Just search for it: select only the repair you need, and follow the preparatory steps.

Windows 10 Lenovo laptop VSS backup issue

Using 3rd party backup solution to perform Volume Shadow Copy service ("VSS") failed.

Just happen of the Lenovo laptop contains OEM partitions. Is VSS support OEM partitions? Any official documentation mention?

Windows Image Backup stopped working, VSS and SPP errors

You could install Macrium Reflect on a temporary basis and under menu heading, along the top, is a fix VSS Problems.
