Windows 10: how to fix warning message on dism log?

hi , to be quick.

How to fix DISM source can't be found error 0x800f081f

I used a USB stick with Win 10 install on it, but somehow this is not good enough as source?

I followed these instructions:

System file check (SFC) Scan and Repair System Files


I used in an elevated state:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /source:WIM:[usb-drive-letter]:\Sources\Install.wim:1 /LimitAccess

Will this only work if using a DVD? (I was using a USB, and the USB stick did not have the 2.7GB install.wim file on it ... maybe the stick is formatted as a FAT32, not sure. I was able to get a ISO burned onto a DVD, and now have access to the install.wim
file. But it is still gibing me the "The source files could not be found." error.)

Thank you sooo much for posting your suggestion!

I ended up running the Windows Update Troubleshooter. This found a problem in the "Service registration is missing or corrupt (Not fixed)."

What do you suggest I do next?

As a the side note: my network shows no internet access, but this is false. To remove the yellow triangle on the network connection icon I have to disable the adaptor and re-enable the adaptor. That works, but the fix will not stick.

I think that I do have a permission problem from within that user account I am trying to use.

I am still getting: "_DataOracleClientPerfCounters_shared12_neutral.h"; source file in store is also corrupted"
