Windows 10: How to fix White circles on new Windows 11 Laptop screen?

Hi all! I recently purchased a new Windows 11 HP Laptop. I have been very careful with it and have protected the screen. Still, the screen itself has white dots that do not appear to be dead pixels going across it. I can only see them when the screen is full of darker colors, not when there are white colors on screen. If I open a black image on my screen, I am able to see them very brightly. The Microsoft support chat line was not very helpful at all, and I am pretty frustrated with the whole experience. I am unsure if I should change my graphics drivers, or what steps of troubleshooting I sho

This PC is not part of a domain, and I never get to a login screen; only the orange screen above.



Your linked instructions for Safe Mode are not useful in my situation, as they assume I can boot
normally into the system and then set an option to boot to safe mode. There is a way to boot to safe mode without the ability to boot normally but it is well hidden and complex - I will detail it below for future readers of this thread.



Your suggestion regarding Clean Boot is also not applicable. The instructions show how to disable services and startup items for third party applications. However, as I stated in my original post, I Reset Windows 10 so there are no third party
services or startup items. Never the less, I went through the steps and the results are the same - orange screen with white circling dots.



Finally, your suggestion regarding creating a new user account is again not applicable. I have multiple accounts on this PC. As I never am presented with a login screen, I cannot utilize any of them.

For readers who are unable to boot normally and wish to boot to safe mode (only try this if you are technically advanced):

• Boot to a Windows 10 installation disk
• Go to Troubleshoot – Advanced Options – DOS Prompt (one might wonder why “Boot to Safe Mode” is not available in Advanced Options!)

Windows 11 white circle in the lower-right corner of the screen, tangent to the taskbar and the screen's far-right edge.

I am running Windows 11 Professional, version 10.0.22000 Build 22000 on a Dell XPS 17 model 9710 (touchscreen).



I opened the laptop today, resuming an existing Windows logon, to see a WHITE CIRCLE in the lower-right corner of the screen just above the Taskbar corner icons. There was no response from it via left or right clicks or screen touches. The circle remained on top of any application occupying that same region of the screen, so it was always present, including being present in the same spot even when I went to a remote-desktop session that I had running (the remote desktop's taskbar was smaller than my laptop's taskbar).

Concerned about a possible virus, I disabled the WiFi and then set about to find the process that maintained the white circle there.

One by one I stopped all running services that I could stop (via services.msc) and killed all running processes that I could (via taskmgr.exe) and stopped all running scheduled tasks (via taskschd.msc) and still the white circle remained.

I wanted to post the image here to see if anyone else has seen this. That's when it got interesting. When I ran the snipping tool (snippingtool.exe) and then clicked the "New" snip, the circle disappeared from the screen. So I hit the Escape key to exit the in-process snip and then the circle reappeared. I then tried SHIFT and PRT SC to capture the full screen but the screen capture lacked the white circle. So, I used my phone to snap a picture and have attached it here. The photo here shows faint white lines at the top and left tangents of the circle, but I didn't notice that with my naked eye, it just looked like a circle.

I eventually logged off and it was not present on the logon screen, and after a reboot, it was no longer present. I ran a deep virus scan & a boot-time high-sensitivity scan and neither reported anything.

I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd
