  1. How to fix wifi adapter causing BSOD

I have an asus vivobook E410MA and the wifi adapter does not work and has caused a BSOD that occurs when I try to reset or restart/reboot my laptop. The BSOD says "DRIVER VERIFIER DMA VIOLATION"I'm not sure how to fix this I've tried to uninstall the adapter and reboot but the bsod stops me. The wifi adapter chooses when to have a yellow exclamation mark when I checked the other day it didnt have one then I did a windows network diagnostic and it says theres a problem with the adapter or acess point and that's when the exclamation point appeared. Today I checked and it didnt have one and I di

installing / resetting wifi adapter causing BSOD

my initial problem was a BSOD caused by a known issue with a recent windows update (KB5021233) and after trying multiple suggested solutions i ended up reinstalling windows

during the installation i was met with another BSOD which forced it to restart which lead to an error message upon booting which read:

“The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click ‘OK’ to restart the computer, and then restart the installation”

after that it was stuck in a loop but this had happened to me once before so i then used a regedit work around to complete the installation

this time however when i got into windows and tried to uninstall and reinstall the WiFi adapter driver i got another BSOD

    Stop code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    What failed: Qcamain10x64.sys

i have tried installing the latest drivers and uninstalling / reinstalling the WiFi driver in safe mode and troubleshooting to reset network adapters but i ultimately end up with the same error either right after installation or upon rebooting into windows after uninstalling

my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 3780

my WiFi adapter is a Qualcomm QCA9377

my Windows version is Windows 10 Home 21H2

    my OS build is 19044.1288

    my feature pack is 120.2212.3920.0

what can i do to fix this?

I keep losing my WiFi adapter

I tried the Option 2 approach but kept getting the Error NetSetupDeleteObjecton Network Adapter error (0x80070005) error, even after a dozen executions of the command. That seemed like it was going nowhere so I tried Option 1. After completing the reboot in Option 1, I never got the dialog that asked if I wanted to make the computer discoverable, even after a significant wait. Do you have any further suggestions? I'm going to move on to "Compumind's" suggestion in the meantime and see if that helps.... - - - Updated - - -
I started working my way down the list.
    1. Both the ipv4 and ipv6 resets said "access denied!". However, the mere attempt worked *briefly*, then the WiFi went down again.
    2. I disabled and re-enabled the network adapter. Again, it worked *briefly*, then I lost the WiFi again.
    3. I tried to disable the antivirus but couldn't find a setting for that so uninstalled it entirely. I got the WiFi back and this time it stayed on for several hours instead of a few minutes so I assumed it was fixed. Then I installed the new Avast One and the WiFi is still working so I'm assuming that all is well finally!
Thank you for this list of suggestions!!!

  4. How to fix wifi adapter causing BSOD

    WiFi Adapter question

To be honest, I keep losing my wifi connection and Im almost positive its not due to my internet connection or Router or anything like that. VERY often, everyday, all day it keeps happening. The troubleshooter always resolves it by "reset wifi-adapter" (I believe this is the step it takes that resolves the problem) before it happens again anyways. Its driving me nuts ! Most time when it suddenly goes out (the connection) all the networks that should be in "show available networks" or all but the one I was connected to, disappear. I run the troubleshooter and it ends in resetting the wifi adapter. And it works. 10 minutes later, it happens again. Im trying to pin down the problem here. Thank you for your help.
