How to fix Windows 11 not recognizing the computer's sole user as administrator

I am the sole user of this computer and I am listed as an Administrator in my account settings. I have tried all the solutions from a February 2, 2023 submitted question on this subject but the problem still remains with no success. I am not able to use the Windows Update program because of this nor can I change any other setting. I was able to use the >sfc /scannow utility after setting up a cmd prompt and it found no problems with file integrity. However, Windows would not allow me to open the cmd program as an administrator. I am running Windows 11 version 24H2 Build 26100.2605. I

  2. I am not recognized as an administrator on Windows 11

    Hi,

Open a Command Prompt window and run:

    • net localgroup administrators
    Please post the output/screenshot here.

Meanwhile, restart Windows in Safe mode and login to the built-in Administrator account (it has a blank password by default). Once logged in, perform the steps in "Solution 3" (fixing the Group Membership) you tried earlier. REF: Lost Administrator Rights in Windows 10/11?

Why am I told I do not have administrator rights and thus cannot open desktop downloads, move files etc.? I am sole user of this newly bought PC using Windows 10 and Outlook 365. Please can you give me a step by step idiot's guide to solving this silly
problem? This is a domestic, single user PC. Thank you.

  4. How to fix Windows 11 not recognizing the computer's sole user as administrator

Administrator I do not recognize on my computer

    Hello,

I am the owner and sole user of my computer and microsoft account. I was trying to delete a file and could not because i did not have permissions. I checked the security tab in Properties and saw myself as the Owner, but administrator was a name I did not
recognize. I do not see that administrator or any other user under "Family & other users"

any idea what the issue is?
