How to fix Windows Icon Display Bug and Task Manager Bug?

Yesterday, I updated my PC to the latest version of Windows 11. Specifically, I installed the 2024-10 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 KB5044033. And the 2024-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems KB5044285. Immediately after installing these updates, I noticed that all my icons disappeared and all that remained was the text. In the taskbar, all icons except Copilot and Settings are the default application icons. Something to note is that I had customized my icons a fair amount before the update. For ex

Two bugs in GPU-Z - icon and version number

Two bugs in GPU-Z - missing icon and version number

...version 0.6.6. Running on Windows 7 64-bit SP1, Ultimate. Using Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 videocard.
The only thing special on my system is I use Stardock Fences 2.01.
1st bug - No icon?? My GPU-Z lost its icon in one of the last updates, and trying to set an icon for it, Windows 7 says "The file C:\Program Files (x86)\GPU-Z\CPU-Z.exe contains no icons. Choose an icon from the list or specify a different file."
Is this a bug or an oversight? Or is my GPU-Z.exe file damaged somehow?

2nd bug - I can't see the version number anywhere now. Please add an About screen, or another way to see the version - it just shows the GPU core temp now.

Windows 10 Bug: Task Manager not showing processes

There are quite a few people having problems with this issue but the threads are all locked without any bugfix provided by Micosoft. So here we go AGAIN:

I have quite a few processes running but task manager is empty! Why?

Reading threads with suggestions I have tried some of the more creative ones like setting regional settings to US (I live in Sweden) I have not, and I will not create a new user account though... Neither will I stand on my head to fix Microsoft’s bug.

I have though run SFC with no errors.

And I have a suggestion that the bug lies in the rendering since toggling the "Always on top" option in task manager toggles the bug from showing or not. However I have found tasks showing with task manager "on Top" AND with the opposite. The BUG is
    intermittent but very repeatable.

I find it remarkable that a basic operative systems function like a Task Manager is not working properly in 2018. REALLY BAD Microsoft!

I hope my clues here can lead to functioning Task Manager again in Windows 10 in 2018…

    Best regards

How to fix Windows Icon Display Bug and Task Manager Bug?

    Bug Report Task Manager

This bug was introduced in Windows 1809 (Redstone 5 Oct 2018 Update). The Task Manager reports total CPU use correctly, as is confirmed by the Resource Monitor. The Resource Monitor reports CPU usage by individual apps correctly but the Task Manager does
not. Instead the Task Manager reports a fictitiously low figure, less than 10% of the actual usage for individual apps, even though total CPU use is reported correctly. This bug can be reproduced by doing a CPU-intensive task such as video encoding (H264 or
H265), and in multiple instances if need be.
