Windows 10: How to fix Windows laptop stuck in startup loop with logo.

I had this problem about 2 weeks ago where initially the laptop would load up to the login page and when I would login windows wouldn’t boot up and I would be greeted with a blank screen where I could only see my cursor. I tried everything to fix it but the thing that worked was restoring to a previous save file of windows which allowed me to enter my laptop normally. I have since then come back from holiday and the same problem arose, so I decided to restore to a previous windows save state but this time I might’ve accidentally used a previous state of windows that was too old about october 2

Windows 10 startup stuck at windows logo

My windows 10 startup is stuck at the logo and the rotating dots. It just wont go further. I have tried start up diagnostics, safe mode, system restorebut still the problem persists.

Any suggestions?

I forgot to mention earlier. 1 hour back, when I checked my C drive it is back to normal. I was able to run chkdsk /f and /r

These analyses were done after that. The issue hasn't got resolved yet and I'm still stuck on the startup repair loop.

Okay. So I eventually created an image of my C partition using Macrium Reflect PE environment. Everything went fine. For some unknown reason, the image was of approximately 100gb in size whereas my C partition was occupied upto almost 175 GB.

Then I booted using the windows 10 USB and deleted all the partitions of the C drive during the installation menu that asks for the location of windows 10. Then I chose the newly formatted C partition to install windows.
The installation went fine. I got to the desktop wallpaper screens and icons. Then I booted using Macrium and restored using the image file.
After I restarted my laptop. I got this error.







After pressing enter, I got this.






Then I checked in the boot menu of my BIOS. To my surprise, my SSD was not listed in the boot menu. Don’t know why.






Then I booted using Win 10 USB, and ran sfc scannow. I also ran DISM, trying to restore the image from the official windows files present on the usb drive and got these results.





Upon checking the volume information, I got this.








I also tried to fix the bcd using the following commands.
bcdboot c:\Windows /s Z: /f ALL

The letter Z was assigned to the 100mb ESP partition on the D drive
Now this 100mb partition is present on my D drive (SATA).
The bcd fixing went well. I got the message ‘Boot files successfully created’

Unfortunately I didn’t click a photograph of the result.
Now I booted again in windows and I am seeing this result.






After pressing enter, I got this.




Now I am stuck and absolutely clueless about my next step. Please advise.

 

Help Im stuck in an endless startup loop during the windows 10 upgrade

I hope someone can help me.

I have a 3 year old HP pavilion DM4 laptop which was running windows 7 64 bit home version.

I clicked on the 4 square windows 10 update 'button' and started the install. I think the install is 'stuck' in startup mode...

• the HP logo shows on the center of the screen, in the lower left corner the 'press ESC for startup menu " message shows,
• I get a blue/black screen for a few seconds,
• then the 4 blue squares windows 10 logo for a few seconds, with white dots in a circle near the bottom of the screen
• then a black screen
• then back to the HP startup logo (#1 above)

it had been in this endless loop for 2 days.

I tried to use 'system recovery' through the HP startup menu. The HP recovery menu shows. When I select Microsoft System Restore, I am informed there are no system restore points.

I appreciate any help and advice so I can use my laptop again. Thank you.
