I truly understand that you are having an issue with Xbox game bar that is not showing any captures , let's work on this together for us to fix the issue.



Kindly follow the steps below that could possibly fix the issue.

Fix 1 : Enable game bar in settings

• Go to Settings
  
• Then click Gaming icon to continue.
  
• go to the Game Bar panel, make sure the option Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Gaming bar is on.

My Xbox Game Bar recording works, but I can't open the captures through Xbox Game Bar for Windows 11.

1) Here are all fixes for Game Bar in Windows 11. Since there's not a specific fix for this issue, work through each step in each tutorial until one gets it working. If you'll report back results I may have other suggestions:

2) If nothing above works then try resetting Game Bar using all four Options here:

Go over WIndows 11 with this checklist to find and fix problems:

3) Update your drivers from the PC maker's Support Downloads webpage for your exact model. While there check for the latest Chipset, BIOS, Sound, Network, USB3, Bluetooth and all other drivers to compare with the version/date installled for that device in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu.

If the drivers are not present or not working for Facial Recognition or Fingerprint then contact your PC manufacturer's Support.

4) Expedite install of all Windows Updates in Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates, including needed restarts, then go back to check again until no more are offered.

Then go into Microsoft Store app > My Library > Get Updates and expedite all Store app Updates, too, until no more are offered.

5) Establish a Clean Boot to turn off Startup Freeloaders that can conflict and cause issues:

6) Test for account corruption by creating a new Local Admin account to see if the problem goes away:

Sign into the new account, test it works correctly, if so move files over, test all apps work or reinstall any that don't. Then when ready delete the old account in Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users.



You can change it to your Microsoft account if desired in Settings > Accounts > Your Info > Sign in with a Microsoft Account Instead.

7) Download, install and run a full scan with free Malwarebyes from Free Antivirus 2023 | Download Free Antivirus & Virus Scan | 100% Free & Easy Install after enabling Root Kit scan in Scan Settings. Clean Up anything it finds and then run again. Turn off Real Time trial in Control panel to keep as on-demand scanner.

8) Run System File Checker/DISM in WIndows 11:

Xbox game bar Capture not working

Try the following steps:

1. Repair Xbox Game Bar

Go to Settings and selecting "Apps and Features". Find "Xbox Game Bar" in the Apps & features list and select it. The "Advanced options" button should appear - click it. You will see the "Repair" button. If it doesn't work, Kindly click the Reset.

2. Uninstall Xbox Game Bar

Press Windows key + X

Select PowerShell(Admin)

Copy and paste the command below then press Enter

get-appxpackage *Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay* | remove-appxpackage

Proceed to reinstall Xbox Game Bar

Go to Microsoft Store then Download again Xbox Game Bar

or copy and paste the command below then press Enter

Get-AppXPackage *Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Restart your computer

If the issue persists, please consider performing a System Restore at an earlier date where everything is still working.

Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: rstrui.exe

Press Enter. This will open System Restore

Click the Next button.

Select the restore point at an earlier date where everything is still working.

Click Next then Finish
