Windows 10: How to force startup apps to open minimized?

Hi3 apps run at startups including Thunderbird. The problem is that they all open fully at startup and I have to close them manually. How can I force them to start minimized and just in the notification area? I tried adding /background parameters to the task schedule or right-clicking on them and selecting minimized in the properties but it's not working.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Minimize to the tray on startup

Thanks but GPU-Z already has the ability to minimize to the tray and TrayIt! doesn't seem to work under Windows 7 x64. Anyways this won't solve the issues which I mentioned earlier; the desktop/taskbar freeze and the occasional error message on startup.

Yep on startup. It doesn't matter if I use the built-in startup option or if I manually add a shortcut to the startup folder. I'm using the latest version (0.4.8) and I don't use any desktop extension. Running it on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Let me know if you need a log file or something like that. I would really like to see this fixed. *Smile
