Windows 10: How to format an HDD with Linux Mint on it?

After a botched installation of Linux Mint it's a long story, the result is that on the 500 GB SSD, where I had before all my work stored, now I have only Linux, and the partition with my work has gone. On my 100 GB SSD I have Windows 10 installed. I wanted to format the 500 GB SSD and get away Linux by using a Linux bootable USB created with Rufus, but, in the terminal, when I taste fdisk, it gave me an enormous list with things to do, that I can't manage. I used this method because I forgot the password that once I was told to create. My PC is an old Lenovo Thinkstation. I h

Can you please tell me how to disable write protection on a Drive using Linux Mint USB Bootable...

basically messed my computer up and then used linux mint usb bootable to boot. now i wish to format my drive but cannot because it is write protected.....

i can see and access both drives with this bootable usb but unable to otherwise.

so in terminal what on earth do i type to remove the write protection on the drive using linux mint usb bootable.

 

Switching from Linux mint to windows10

Hey im running linux mint 19.3 Tricia on my dell latitude e6500, HDD: 240GB | CPU: intel core2 duo T9600 @ 2x 2.801GHz | RAM: 1194MiB / 3924MiB | MEM: 1394MiB / 3924MiB.

It Came with win7 installed, i upgraded to win10, then switched to linux mint using bootable usb. I wiped my hdd of windows completely, and installed mint to the hdd.

My question is can i use woeusb to reinstall win10 ? With 124gb usb stick and the iso image i have downloaded ? If so how should i partition/format the usb and hdd for this to work properly? What needs to be mounted/unmounted to what? Im not an expert and
i dont wanna end up without an OS. I plan on installing win10 to hdd, and deleting linux only because i have no partitions made on my hdd.

Okay so it's getting late and I won't be able to try half of the things you suggested, but I have few discoveries I want to add.

I tried to install windows 10 on the ssd with another laptop which succeeded and it worked okay with that other laptop. What I tried was to add this preinstalled ssd on the linux laptop and try boot it from there. It didn't initially succeed, but activating legacy mode on bios made it that the windows actually booted and I managed to even login. Thing is it will usually in under a minute shut down immediately without any errors. Weirdly enough this doesn't seem to happen with the hdd that already had linux mint installed.

So in short I'm able to boot windows on preinstalled ssd, but it always eventually crashes. Same thing with windows installation usb, but for some reason it won't happen with the linux mint hdd.

One thing to note is also that trying to use windows stuff whether it's the usb or the preinstalled hdd is that the fans of the laptop goes to full power and it kinda feels like it will shut down because of overheating, but thats just a hunch and I need to investigate it more tomorrow.
