Windows 10: How to format/erase Toshiba WT10-A tablet if I do not have BitLoker recovery key?

I have found in the gardbage this tablet Toshiba WT10-A and I tried to clean it, reset it and then to give it to a school boy which has no possibility to by a better device. I have cleaned the key from the bios but I am not able to reinstall the windows 8.1 because it is BitLocker active and I do not have the recovery key.How can I format this tablet, because I do not know the previos owner and I do not want to recover anything from it?

Hello everyone,

I have a Toshiba Tablet with Windows 10, which also had an issue with BitLocker, and since I could not find the recovery key, I decided to format it, but it is not recognizing the bootable USB, also the BIOS is not letting me change the boot sequence, I can provide pictures if needed.

This is what I already have tried:

- Tried to reset the BIOS (It didn't work)
- Also used my keyboard to try to access the boot sequence in a different way, it did allow me to access it but it didn't let me change the sequence.

- Already tried with the volume + and power button to get there as well, then again it lets me access it but, it is not letting me change the sequence.

Also, the BIOS is not showing "advanced options" it is very basic and I am wondering if that is the problem.

I know I should get in contact with Toshiba support but, I can't get to figure out which option to choose to get in touch with the tablet support.

 

Can't boot from USB on Toshiba Encore 2 WT10-A

I have a Toshiba Encore WT10-A tablet that had windows 10 and it was running very badly due to the little ram it had and I wanted to change it back to Windows 8.1, however whenever I tried to boot from the usb it never let me, in the end I tried using a method to install windows 8.1 which in one part consisted of formatting the hard drive and it went wrong, so I have a toshiba tablet that does not have windows and does not boot from usb, because whenever I choose the option to boot from usb, it does not work and automatically chooses the hdd option, although it doesn't boot from there either.

I tried to watch videos and change some options in the bios, but I barely have options and the ones I have to follow in the video don't appear, is there any way to install windows without having a usb?
