Windows 10: How to generate/create windows Bluetooth log

    How to generate/create windows Bluetooth log


    for my one of project, I am connecting my device with windows after some exchange of data, device reconnection is happening. I am unable to understand which device is initiating disconnection. I have doubt due to some reason windows initiating disconnection, to debug that, I want to generate log for Bluetooth disconnection and connection. is there any way to generate this log, or is this log is already available ?

    It seems that the issue occurs after the Windows Update, we suggest that you download and run the

    Windows Update Troubleshooter    .

    If the issue persists, you can follow these steps to reinstall the Windows Generic Bluetooth Adapter.



    • Go to Device Manager.
    • Look for the Windows Generic Bluetooth Adapter.
    • Right click, then select Uninstall.
    • Click

    Bluetooth in windows 10

    My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

    I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

    Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision

    Windows Generic Bluetooth Adapter

    Try the following. I had the same issue. However each time I update my computer with a new insider update I have to repeat these steps.

    • In the search type" Device manager" and open it.
    • Click on the smal arrow next to either "Bluetooth" or "Universal Serial Bus controllers"
    • Right click on "CSR" and select Update Driver
    • Select" Browse my computer for driver update"
    • Select on bottom :Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my Computer"
    • Select "Generic bluetooth Driver"
    This will fix it and you will be able to use your Bluetooth now with no other problems.
