Windows 10: How to get 5.1 surround on Windows 11

Followed up with suggestion of Kirito.H 10/15/2024. He was responding to inquiry re "...not having Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound on Windows 11". I was/am having issue with sound on Windows 11. Dialogue from movies very fuzzy - cannot understand any dialogue. I found on the app page = Dolby Digital Plus decoder for PC OEMS 8.00KB 10/11/24 /and/ Dolby Access 12/10/24 190mb [with a Default App URL: dl-dolbyaccess] Followed Kirito's instruction, but when got to "Output" section there was no "Device Properties" to click on...nor "Additional Device Properties"...nor "Advanced"...nor any

5.1 surround dosn't work only 3/5

Hi Samuel,

Your concern needs further investigation so that we can identify the cause of the issue. Please provide the following information:

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Have you made any change prior to this issue?

Since you are using an external speakers/surround, it's possible that the device is malfunctioning/wearing out. We suggest that you try connecting the surround on a different device and see if it has the same issue.

Windows 11 surround 5.1 doesn't work on the back channel

Thanks a lot, but all the links are the same as my search result and tries, many of them are the same. None of them works.

Just to point out that the Enhancement option, under sount propieties is is not there.

But if i change the drivers to "High Definition Audio", the setting is there. i have tried al the setting there too, the behavior is worse as with the "Realtek High Definition Audio".

So i decided to revert it to the default "Realtek High Definition Audio"





if i watch a movie on vlc or i play a game for example cyberpunk 2077 the surround system 5.1 works, it doesn't work with firefox, spotify, ... and other programs, and there are the other issues of the realteck audio control software.

Sadly no luck.
