    How to get a new Windows device ID?


    Hello everyone,I'm experiencing an issue where a few windows servers were cloned in a business environment and is now unable to install windows updates and is also unable to activate/upgrade Windows with the correct license key. I've gone through an extensive list of troubleshooting steps, and the only thing I haven't tried is assigning a new Windows Device ID to the affected servers. Since they all share the same Device ID, I'm hoping that generating a unique one might finally resolve the activation issue.To clarify, this is the same Device ID that can be found within Settings > System >
