Windows 10: How to get access to a locked UEFI without a password and or contacting support

Hi, this is right, I want to access my UEFI in my laptop to change some settings but problem is it’s locked and I can’t seem to access it without a system password, please help me, i want solutions as contacting support will be my last resort

Disabling BitLocker encryption usually does not cause UEFI passwords to be locked. UEFI passwords are usually hardware-related settings used to restrict access to system BIOS or UEFI firmware settings. In most cases, disabling BitLocker should not affect UEFI passwords., but there may be other factors that cause this to happen. For example hardware issues.



The UEFI password may be locked due to hardware limitations or security features of the main board. The support staff at the ASUS Service Center tells you that the main board needs to be replaced, which may be because the UEFI settings are stored in a specific chip of the main board and cannot be reset or unlocked by simple software means.



Just in case, you can try to reset the UEFI settings yourself:

You can try resetting the UEFI settings to factory defaults. Usually, this can be done by finding the CMOS battery on the main board, removing it for a while (usually a few minutes), and then plugging it in again. This will clear the UEFI settings, including the password. Please note that this may cause you to lose any custom changes you have made in your UEFI settings.

Window 10 does not recognize password

If you are referring to the lock screen, I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• 
  On the lock screen, click on Ease of access icon next to network connection icon.
  
• 
  Click On Screen keyboard.
  
• 
  Type the password and check.
  

I also suggest you to change the language and check.

• 
  On the lock screen, click on language icon next to network connection icon.
  
• 
  Click the language to US English.
  
• 
  Type the password and check.

• On the Windows search bar, type in Netplwiz and select the top most result.This window gives you access to Windows user accounts and many password controls.
• Right at the top is a checkmark next to the option labeled Users must enter a username and password to use this computer.
  Uncheck that.
• Click Apply and it will prompt you for your current password. Enter it twice. The next time you reboot, or your PC wakes up from a nap, you’ll no longer need to type in your password.
