Windows 10: how to get activation key of my old windows when hard disk crashed?

Dear Microsoft community 1. I am using 02 separate systems 01 Desktop and 01 Laptop under my registered e-mail id. 2 Recently, the hard disk of my desktop crashed and required replacement. However, I do not have a copy of the activation key for my old OS windows with me nor it is avialable on my email. 3. how to getr activation key for my old OS to my registered email id.

Activated product key from old hard disk was corrupted

Hi, my old hard disk was corrupted. After the replacement of the new hard disk with the Windows 10 Installation, My product key of Windows 10 Pro is not able to be activated to the new hard disk due to being activated before. Please advise the solution.

how to reactivate windows 10 when hard disk get crashes and not having product key?

I have dell Vostro series laptop. My Laptop hard disk get crashed. I change hard disk hdd to ssd but in new hard there no windows 10 OS. I don't have the product key? Laptop come with pre installed operating system. please suggest me getting the product
key and activating the windows.

 

Hard disk partition not showing up.

This can happen if the Hard-disk drivers are not up-to date. I would suggest you to update the hard disk drivers first. To update the drivers, please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Open Device manager.
   
2. Then Expand “Disk drives”.
   
3. Then Right click on the Hard-disk listed under this category.
   
4. Then click on Update drivers.
   
5. Alternatively you can also try to update the drivers from manufacturer’s website.
   

Once the hard-disk drivers are updated, you will need to allocate the last partition (it is not allocated according to the screenshot) and you will be able to view the partition.



Also note that sometimes the hard disk partitions/drives might be hidden in This PC or My Computer window due to a Registry key. If a DWORD with the name NoViewOnDrive or NoDrives is present under following key in Registry Editor:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer

Delete the DWORD and your drives will become visible in My Computer window.
