    Hi,I have Windows 11, how can I type ä, ö, ü and ß without using Deutsch keyboard?I'm using English US and Hebrew.Or if I will download the Deutsch keyboard, were is the ß sign?

    How to get ä, ö, ü and ß when typing

    Hi,

    I am Ganesh Gandhi, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.

    There are no Keyboard shortcut for getting umlauts (ä, ö, ü) or an Eszett/beta (ß) when writing on Windows 10.

    Windows does not have option like mac.

    You have to use ASCII characters combinations

    Kindly follow these steps:

    1. EnableNumber Lock

    2. Press hold ALT key and type a number on the number pad (ALT + 0228 = ä)

    ALT 0223 = ß

    ALT 0228 = ä

    ALT 0246 = ö

    ALT 0252 = ü

    ALT 0196 = Ä

    ALT 0214 = Ö

    ALT 0220 = Ü

    How to get ä, ö, ü and ß when typing

    Is there a keyboard shortcut for getting umlauts (ä, ö, ü) or an Eszett/beta (ß) when writing on Windows 10? I know you can insert a special character manually, but is there any shortcut available so you can just use your keyboard? On my laptop my default
    language is English, but I have German as a language. My laptop was purchased in an English speaking country so the physical keyboard on my laptop is in English, so there's no buttons for umlauts etc.

    (On an Apple laptop you press "option" then click "u" and it will give you an umlaut- so I'm looking for a similar option to this)

    How Can I type German Umlaut(ä, ö, ü, etc.) without using ALT Code like Microsoft Touch Keyboard

    If you use the English (International) Layout you can easily type ü ö ä by pressing " (shift + ') then, pressing the word key ( u,a,o, etc.)
