  1. How to get all child devices connected to family safety and screen time limits working...

I have a two fold question. Both of my boys have their own xbox and gaming computer. I can see each xbox and each computer in family safety. However, family safety is not tracking or controlling the screen time of every device. Child 1: screen time shows his activity on the xbox and computer. I have screen time limits for each device from 3-8pm however the devices do not get blocked at 8pm - screen time limits do not work on either device. The computer is an ASUS TUF gaming A15, windows 11; xbox is Xbox One S.Child 2: family safety is only showing his screen time activity on his xbox, and the

Windows 10 Family Safety time limits not working

I had this exact problem and these are the steps I took to get the issue resolved:

    • Navigate to family safety settings and remove the child from the family having issues.
    • Login to the childs account and launch Settings (windows key + i)
    • Click the Accounts icon and select Sign in with local account instead
    • Follow the steps to change to a local account. When completed, Login back to your account (admin account)
    • Go back to the family safety settings and add your child back to the family group.
    • Access your childs email address to accept the family invitation
    • Verify the child now shows properly in the family settings and that the screen times are still correct.
    • Login to the childs account and launch Settings (windows key + i)
    • Click the Accounts icon and select Sign in with microsoft account instead
    • Your family settings should now take affect.

I know this is pretty tedious, but like I said, it worked for me. If you are still having trouble, I suggest contacting support and they can help walk you through the steps to get it resolved.

Family Safety app no longer working with child's device

The same thing happened to me yesterday. The computer locked up and would no longer work as it had with family settings. The only way for me to get access was to safe boot and use a previous restore point.

Once I did that I made sure the child's account was set to standard user and mine as administrator. The computer works fine but no longer reacts to any of the screen time or lock device settings from Family safety app or website.

I can see the device and child account on the Microsoft Family Safety page and it is reporting actual usage, apps, times, etc. It just does not acknowledge time limits or lock requests.

    Any suggestions?
