Windows 10: How to get back to primary account while got struck on the login screen with no user...

Kindly help with this issue I want to get back to my primary account, I got struck with login screen with no choice of signing in to that account. I got struck in the login screen with a second user that I've created. I can't able to sign in that account as it says the user profile service service failed the sign-in. Now if I want to get back to my primary account on screen I don't see any users listed. I want to get back to my primary account. How can I go? While no users are listed in screen. Whenever we restart, shut down and turn on, it's automatically log in to the second account which ha

Hello, I have two issues and I suspect they are related.

I am using Windows 10 version 1909.

Ultimately, I want to disable the login screen when starting windows.

I have unchecked the box that asks for a password under netplwiz, and unchecked the box for password login under power and sleep settings.

I am still asked to login when I start windows. I suspect this is because there are two user accounts.

One user account is just user, which is what I use. The other is my name, John, which I must have set up when I was installing windows and I don't remember the password for.

I tried to delete the John account so it would just login automatically to the user account, but when I go under user accounts after typing in systempropertiesadvanced under the run command, I don't see this "John" account.

So in short, I have done all the things that a simple google search would suggest for me to disable the logon screen following a restart, but to no avail. I suspect this is because of a second user account for which I don't know the password, but I can't seem to find this account anywhere to delete it.

Any suggestions? Thank you for your time!

goto CONTROL PANEL/ USER ACCOUNTS then you have to remove all the other accounts except for the one you logon with....then restart...it should bypass the login tho it will still show the screen for it...it will continue to load windows...good luck*Rockout :rockout:



edit:: it asks for a login when there are more then one accounts..or if you set a pw to your login name...

 

Primary user login lost on Windows 10

It's possible that User 1's profile has become corrupted, which is why it's no longer showing up on the login screen. Here are some steps you can try to recover the user account:

Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.

Type "netplwiz" and press Enter.

In the User Accounts window, check if the missing user account is listed. If it is, select it and click Properties.

In the Properties window, click the Group Membership tab and select the Administrator option. Click OK to save the changes.

Restart your computer and check if the missing user account is now available on the login screen.

If the above steps don't work, you can try using the System File Checker (SFC) tool to repair any corrupted system files that might be affecting the user account. Here's how to use SFC:

Press the Windows key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.

In the command prompt, type "sfc /scannow" and press Enter.

Wait for the scan to complete and then restart your computer.

Check if the missing user account is now available on the login screen.

If none of the above steps work, you may need to create a new user account and manually transfer the files and settings from the old user account to the new one.
