Windows 10: How To Get "File Explorer" To Stop Taking Me to "My PC"?

As of a couple of weeks ago, clicking on File Explorer takes now me directly to My PC. To get File Explorer back, I am told to go to Quick Access, but I find that I also can no longer find Quick Access, and to get that back, I am told to go to File Explorer. My problem is that I can't find either one, and I seem to need one to get the other. In File Explorer Options I have reset everything that can be reset, but I still do not have either File Explorer or Quick Access, and none of the many websites that have addressed this problem and I have tried them all! seem to have a solution. • Select Task Manager.
• Under process tab, locate Windows Explorer.
• Right Click Windows Explorer and select End Task.
• Now select on File tab and click Run Task.
• Type explorer.exe and press ok.
• Check if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to
perform SFC scan and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

  4. If everything went okay and no errors were found, restart your computer and see if the issue re-occurs.
