Windows 10: How to get files back after resetting Paint 3D?

I just spent a long time editing 25 pictures in Paint 3D. After each image I was saving over the original file and could see their thumbnail in my folder. I wanted to add one more custom color to one image, but the custom selector was full. I tried to reset Paint 3D in app settings, and suddenly many of the edits I had made were reverted. I instinctively pressed ctrl-z in the folder thinking to 'undo', and the entire folder disappeared. It is not in Recycle Bin, it is not in Paint 3D recovery, it seems like all the originals are just gone.How can Paint 3D delete the originals? What happened he

Can't log in to Remix 3d paint

This can be due to a recent change in the configuration of your device. To assist you with your concern, we suggest that you reset the application from the apps and features in Windows 10. This option will reset the configuration
of the application to the default state. To do this, follow the steps below:

• In the Search box, type Apps & features and press
  Enter.
• From the list of applications search for Paint
  3D.
• Click Paint 3D and select
  Advanced options.
• Click Reset.
• Check if the issue persists.

Reset Paint 3D app:

• Open ‘Settings’ and click on ‘Update and Security’.
  
• Click on ‘Apps’ and choose ‘Apps and features’.
  
• Locate the ‘Paint 3D’ app and click on it.
  
• Select ‘Advanced options’ and choose ‘Reset’.
  
• Wait for the reset to complete.
  
• Close settings, launch ‘Paint 3D’ and try saving now.
