  1. How to get mspaint.exe commandline so it can be run from a third party software

HiI use Faststone Capture a nice little screen capture program. It has an option to open up the screen shot in a paint program. It used to work fine with the old paint.exe.Faststone has a setting to enter the File Path of any paint app.Option #1 - If I try to set it to C:\Users\MYNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsAppsThen I get "The File cannot be accessed by the system"Option#2 - But if I try this crazy random path for MSPaint.exe it works... C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.Paint_11.2206.6.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\PaintAppFYI - I found this path using a nice third party tool ca

    WinME and mspaint

Here you are. This is the fileset you are looking for.
Put it in a new folder on your desktop, run the .exe inside the folder and it will extract the full MSPaint application. You can run it from within the folder, no need to install or replace anything. Even though it shows as a Win95 file it is functional in every O.S I've tried it in up to and including XP Pro. Surprised noone has suggested trying to upgrade to Vista.
    Good Luck,
    Fiream

  3. WinME and mspaint

I had WinME on one of my 200mhz comps. Worked alright for me.
Eventually upgraded, and I was all like... cool. Anyway. I've gone from Win98, to Win98SE, to WinME and then to WinXP in my own personal comps. Skipped the rest of em. Never had need for em. I'll stick with what the comps got that I'm workin' with.

    What? Vistaids? Nowaythanks.
Also, Note the fact I've mentioned the laptop wont even manage XP well enough. That's prolly why they didn't suggest.

Edit: Oh, and thanks. Just what I'm looking for.
