Windows 10: How to get my folders and files out of OneDrive that all have red x's in Windows 11

I purchased a program that supplies all the data via OneDrive. I now see all my photos, folders, programs with red x's and look to be in the cloud. How to I remove the x's, remove from the cloud back to my computer, and nullify the ability to have this happen again. I have Windows 11 pc.

That red X, if it is in the bottom left corner of the Documents Icon, means OneDrive has not been successful in syncing that folder, there may be just one file in that folder which OneDrive cannot sync . .

The documents folder contains a lot of application data that is specific to each user. your best option is to have a folder inside the documents folder for all your files

Then in OneDrive Settings remove the documents folder form the list of synced items and add that folder winch contains only your files . . .

 

Red X's

This Morning I have red X's on all of my files in my OneDrive folder. OneDrive says it's up to date. So what's with the red X's

 

My One Drive folders are showing a red X and tries to save files a A-

My One Drive folders are showing a red x. I can open a file but cannot save it as it doesn't recognise the file address or name . It renames the file A- and says cannot locate OneDrive even though I have just opened it from the onedrive
