Windows 10: How to get rid of additional input methods keyboard layouts

Hello,I have several keyboard layouts between which I can switch with WindowsKey + space-bar.They show up as well in the notification area of the taskbar.I do not need them; I have only one keyboard with only one layout, and even if I may type in another language at times, I won't change the keyboard layout.This not only takes room in the notification area. It also leads to accidental change of keyboard layout, which is annoying.How can I get rid of the additional keyboard layouts, while still keeping Windows aware of other language, so that it may for example spell check in several languages?

How to get rid of additional input method?

I have a US layout keyboard and I input Chinese and English. So what I need are a US layout input method and a Chinese input method.

However, what I find here are four input methods:





I would like to get rid of the middle two.

However, I only have two languages listed in my language preferences:





Each of them has only one input method:

English:





Chinese:





Then I cannot remove any of the middle two input method.

How can I solve this problem?

Please follow the steps below and see if it helps:

• 
  Type "language" in the search bar, choose Settings, and then tap or click
  Add a language.
  
• 
  Choose the language that you want to add, click Options next to the language name, and then click
  Add an input method.
  
• 
  Browse the input method list and look for the keyboard layout you want to use.
  
• 
  double-click the keyboard layout, and click Save.
