Windows 10: How to get rid of browser.events.msn.com and soundresearch?????

I'm worried and annoyed. Since many days I've been seeing this process called "secocl.exe" from Sound Research.I don't have any program installed by me that did that. Some places say it's a adware/malware.I disabled it from task scheduler, but in edge, whenever I go to a website, it shows Connecting to sb.scorecardresearch.com OR browser.events.msn.com.I really want to get rid of this. I'm worried that my System is infected.I read somewhere that they collect market data, but why the hell would they not ask first? This problem didn't exist in my old laptop.My old and new, both a from HP.The con

MSN out Google Chrome in

I'm working on Windows 11. Originally set Google chrome as my default browser now MSN opens up first. Went to the steps that I found on the net in set Google is default on several different categories. Now MSN opens up first then a black screen for Google and third Google Chrome. Really want to get rid of MSN completely and just have Google Chrome open up. I probably change things I shouldn't have because I didn't know what I'm doing, how can I solve this and get rid of MSN and exclusively have Google Chrome as my Internet connection?

• Are you referring to signing into your MSN account?
• What error message are you getting?
  
• Is the issue isolated to the MSN website?
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

For now, I suggest running the troubleshooter for accessing websites. You can get the tool from this

page, select Find and fix problems with connecting to the Internet or to websites. You need administrative permission to run the tool.
