Windows 10: how to get rid of the crosshair stuck on my screen

their is a red circle crosshair stuck on my screen, it won't show on screenshots, but the circle will not go away. how do it get rid of it before i factory reset my PC

White iron crosshair from Battlefield V shown permanent in Windows

I recently installed Battlefield V, and since the first time I played it, a white iron crosshair from the game has been stuck, frozen in the middle of the screen in Windows permanently. It is shown overlaying inside the game menus and it does not go away when I quit the game.

It is visible from when I boot the computer, and does not go away even when i unistalled Battlefield V. When i used print screen for this post, the crosshair was not visible in the picture.

I have since then tried the following:
-update Windows
-update Nvidia driver
-removed Origin
-started in Safe Mode
-looked in msconfig for other "suspicious" services that might start during booting

Any suggestions?

To understand the issue better, I would like to ask some questions:

• Is the computer stuck in the Installing updates screen?
• For how long is the computer stuck in the screen?
• When was the computer last updated?
• Is the screen showing any percentage of installation?

Sometimes the installation might take a long time to install if the update is of large size. So, I suggest you to wait for sometime and check if the system boots to the desktop. If it is taking a longer time, then perform a Power Drain by following the steps
provided below:

• Shut down the Computer.
• Remove all power source (including battery if it is a laptop).
• Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
• Connect the power source and start the computer.
• After the computer boots to the desktop, suggest you to install all the pending updates.
