Windows 10: How to get ride of the transparent frame around the screen?

Lately, I can only see the computer screen from a box in the middle of my desktop computer monitor. The rest of the area is like a thick frame and milky transparent, and I am hardly able to see the screen., I have a Microsoft Acer desktop computer with an Asus Monitor. Does anybody know what it is and how to get rid of it, please? The image is attached. If you see the picture blue part is my actual screen, the rest is the thick transparent part. I also noticed dotted lines around the box. Thank you.

I have a workaround to stop this happening. I’ve posted it multiple times, I hope the original poster will accept it as the answer as it disappears in all of the answers. Forget searching for something, follow these steps and you will be fine:

1. First do a restart so that the small window is not blocking anything.
   
2. Then click on the blue window at the bottom of your screen.
   
3. Type in "transparency",
   
4. select the first thing that comes up in the search that is "Transparency Effects".
   
5. In the popup turn off the transparency effects.
   
6. You need to restart your computer
   
7. Welcome to not be bothered by this transparent window anymore
   

 

Transparent Screens

I would say that this is basically a clear plastic projector screen with a chemical in it to reflect certain wavelengths of light, and then allow light that we see to pass through it, so it seems transparent. If the whole room was lit with a light that was of a similar wavelength, then the screen would be rendered useless. I could only see this as a cheap way to have screens outdoors, without damaging any hardware, and only the screen. Good concept, it feels futuristic. lol..
