Windows 10: How to get the list of destinations mapped to my user? By destinations I mean network...

Hi, I am currently trying to find a way to determine all the drives and network locations attached to my pc in cpp. For the Logical Drives I can use GetLogicalDrives, I am looking for ways to get the list of network locations added. So, far I have found the list at these 2 places.1. $env:APPDATA\Microsoft\Windows\Network Shortcuts2. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2 and access using RegOpenKeyEx and RegEnumKeyEx.Which is the recommended way of doing this? In the first option I need to resolve the shortcut to get what is

Access Points and Destinations

it takes a bit of getting used to moving from the access point lists to the destinations list they use now.



a couple of points i would suggest that are useful is that

1 many applications will inherit the settings specified in the browser or the 'default' setting in the destinations menu

2 you can add destinations and copy access points to them, if say you want some things to use wifi and an internet cell access point in that order, but you want something else to only only the internet cell access point you can add it to a new destination.

3 some apps that bring up the destinations list allow you to select access points from the options menu.

 

Photos App Bug - File Destination is not honored

in Photos App, import images (in my case from a connected device)

in the 'Import items' interface, select 'Change destination' and select a user-defined folder followed by 'Add this folder to Pictures', select one or more items and activate the import
this works fine. Now close the app, reopen it and repeat the process.

• in the 'Import items' interface, the user-defined destination is still shown but the import is routed to the Windows default location User\Pictures
  

any subsequent repeat of above actions then shows the Windows default location as destination: the user-defined folder (remember, we added this folder to Pictures) seems completely forgotten.

• user-defined destination folders should be memorized und used as promised by the interface
  

 

Maps Online: route calculation possible but no search für destination

First: please excuse my maybe not accurate description in english because I'm german. Hope fully one of the crowd will understand what I mean...



I encountered a curious error in maps online. I tried to look for the hotel "Anantara Qasr Al Sarab" in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I will stay there for a few days in september and will be going there by car.

In the search field of maps online application I enter "anant" (or less letters) an the predictive input suggests the correct hotel (with exactly the above spelling) but in the list of suggestions underneath the address is not included. There are only

• al salam
• arab, al, USA
• sarau, deutschland
• westsahara
• albanien

So I can't find the destination to save it to the favourites. But... when I'm planning a route (with start point Dubai International Airport) the system finds exact this hotel an calculates a route. But that's of no help for me because I have to chose a
start point for that. And if my real start point will be another one the program would guide me to the chosen startpoint first and after that to the destination, wouldn't it?

So how can I let the program on my N8 calculate the route to the hotel if my real start point will maybe not the Dubai airport?

I would like to habe the hotel in the Liwa desert as a favourite...
