How to get WMP to clear contents after CD rip/eject?

After ripping a disk I have Windows Media Player Legacy configured to eject the disk, in prep for the next disk to be inserted. However if the next disk is immediatly inserted the center panel display of the previous disk tracks remains there, and will only clear if I again open the disk player and then close it. I have found that if I wait long enough after the first disk is ejected before I swap in the next disk that the screen finally clears. Is there any way to get the screen to immediately clear when the disk is automatically ejected after a rip, or failing that, reduce the time the scre

    Rip cds on WMP

After you finish ripping a CD, move the tracks to a different folder.

The real way to do this is to let WMP download CD information from the internet. That way all four CDs will be uniquely identified.

  3. WMP 12 won't rip some CD's in Windows 10

I am having a problem ripping some CD's with WMP, in Windows 10. I get the following error message: "WMP cannot download media information for this CD. The tracks, artists and album will be identified as "Unknown"
in your library. For best results, Connect to the internet or manually add media information for the CD.
    "

I was expecting the CD to be ripped under "Unknown" artist but the CD ejects once I select OK, in the error window. These are new, store bought, commercial CD's.

What can I do to fix this?

    Thanx

    Hi,

We suggest that you perform these steps and check if the issue persists:

    • Go to "View > Navigation pane" and select "Show libraries".
    • Now in the navigation pane, right-click on the "Music" library under "Libraries" and select "Delete".
    • Now right-click on the "Libraries" and select "Restore default libraries".
