How to go back to orginal boot MBR

I took a look at EasyBCD and played with it enough to use it's boot menu. Big mistake. How can I rid of the BCD stuff added and go back to the original boot menu (MBR?). They apparently do not visit their forum or no one knows how to do this. OH yeah, I learned that an backup copy does not help with this problem. I did not know about those first few sectors on the HD. *Sad

  2. After Windows10 Upgrade missing Disk Space & drive H

Yes, i needed the Acronis driver to bring back the visible harddrive space (*win10 safe mode). after that i transfer all my data to an other drive an formated the harddrive again @ GPT Mode. The drive was orginally formated under Master Boot Record (*MBR).

Win10 has no problems to use harddrives over 2TB if them formated under GPT Mode,

The Win7 driver beyond 2TB works under win10 safe mode. So if u start win10 under safe mode, install the driver then and you can see the full space. its a chance to see the visible harddrive parts and safe the data and re-formate @ GPT.

    MBR works not over 2TB

Thanks for the idea but that seems way over my head. I've looked at it twice today and will go back to it and the MS site info about it again but I do not yet see how to convert all those numbers to practical information on what is in the bootloader.

Use the reset BCD option in EasyBCD to wipe out the BCD.

    Resetting the BCD

Then from an elevated command prompt ("Run as administrator" command prompt) type:
    BCDBOOT C:\WINDOWS
(assuming your Windows is installed on C: drive).

Be aware, the first step will leave your computer unbootable from the hard drive until the second step is completed successfully. So, I would run the second step first - make sure it works, then go back and do step 1 and step 2.
