Windows 10: How to have custom DPI like Windows 7

    How to have custom DPI like Windows 7


    Hi all,

    in my Windows 7 I have "Custom DPI" to 150% and with the option "Windows XP style".

    In such way, I have every Windows with a normal font blacks without the "blurries".I

    I.e.: the devices window... in 7 is perfect blacks, in 10 is blurry blacks. And this for many other system Windows and some software that I use from years.

    How to have the same custom DPI "XP style" in Windows 10?

    Live tiles not working with custom DPI

    I have the same issue.

    - I keep my custom DPI to 130%

    - I go to the start menu

    - The Weather 14 Days Store app tile display Live Tile at medium only, resizing to any other options: Wide or large and the tile doesn't display the weather anymore

    - If I turn off Custom DPI and leave it on the recommended 125%, I can resize the tile to wide, large or medium and it displays live

    - The same issue with the default app MSN News and Weather except that if I attempt to resize tile while on custom DPI, it will never display again even if I turn off custom DPI and set my DPI to recommended 125%. The only solution is to uninstall and reinstall
    the tile via a powershell command.

    - My Windows 10 install is fresh and not an in-place upgrade from Windows 7, the creators version is an in-place upgrade of Windows 10 done recently. The same behavior of live view tile was observed before and has not changed with the new version.

    - This behavior is observable in any start menu configurations.

    Thanks for solving the issue. Widgets are a good idea and would love to be able to use them.

    can the text size of windows 10 settings be changed?

    Only with the Scale option (but do try it, it's not like the old DPI scaling from Windows 2000/XP/7/8).
