Windows 10: How to have full path always show in Address bar in file explorer?

As title, How I I get the Address bar in windows 11 file explorer to always show the full path? It used to always show, like C:\Program Files x86\Steam\steamapps\common Now all I see is Steam > steam apps > commonHow do I get it Back to the full path? Again, this is for the Address bar, Not the title bar.Thank you

That WindowsClub article is incorrectly titled. The procedure it describes is for displaying the full address in the title bar not the address bar. If I need the full path then I just click in a blank area of the address bar then it appears [ready-selected] so I can copy it.

I tried the Show Full Path in the Address Bar for Special Folders - Winhelponline procedure [post #18 above] but have found it to be incomplete. I had to search through all that set of Registry Keys to find that there were two relevant ones for Downloads. Local Downloads - as shown in their .reg file and Downloads - not mentioned by WinHelpOnline and I had to change both to get the full path to appear in the File explorer, Quick access Address bar for my Desktop/Downloads entry. See the discussion at tutorial suggestions #606 and the next few posts - TenForums As Brink points out, the change does not affect all methods of getting to, for example, the Desktop. Disable File Explorer Address Bar Path History?

Hello,

After entering a file path manually in File Explorer, the entry is kept in the dropdown list of the address bar until I go to View > Options > Clear File Explorer History. I'd like Windows to never store these paths, if possible.

I have successfully disabled autocomplete via the registry using the following guide, but it doesn't prevent the history of file paths to be stored: Turn On or Off Inline AutoComplete in File Explorer and Run Dialog

I've searched and searched but can't find a solution to this, yet. Hopefully someone has something to suggest that I haven't tried. I know it's possible, since I believe I had it working on my last Win10 machine, but I'm not sure how I did it.
