Windows 10: How to have Night Lite on whenever the machine is on

My optometrist recommends I keep my Night Lite on all the time. As it turns out, I like the looks of it that way. I have tried to set it up to do just that by by using Settings/Display/Night Lite /Turn on now. Schedule is OFF. It stays on until I reboot and then it is off.

Is there a way to turn it on whenever I turn the machine on no matter the time of day?

Why doesn't night light work when booting computer from power off state at NIGHT? It is as if the virtual state of the Night Light switch does not concur with the physical state of the machine!

FWIW I answered the bulleted questions you asked in my original question, except #2, #3, & #4.

  Nothing that would affect this aspect of the system!

  At the time, the current release just before 2017-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4020102), which is now my current build. (SEE STEPS BELOW TO RECREATE BUG)
  

• Is your Windows 10 computer enrolled to the Insider build?
  
  Which one? I know about the insider build; but if you mean pre-release builds, then no. At 62 years of age, and 30+ years of system knowledge and troubleshooting, However, on this I am presuming that the insider enrollment is not related to current release
  at all, other than one has to have it to get newer unreleased builds. IOW, do insiders respond on current builds? If not, then let me know where issues missed by the insiders get handled once it's left the insider program. At 62, I've paid my dues, and
  should be an honorary member, if the insider program if it includes the current build! I'm tired of supplying bonafide problems and having them ignored by Microsoft and the community. It may sound arrogant; but, if I can't fix it myself researching the
  Microsoft site, or the internet, then frankly I have no peers. And, frankly, with the current system, if the original poster never returns to the question, which many don't, then I've answered my share of questions, which get no recognition. But, that's
  not why I'm here anyway. Still, of MS measures the worth of a man by his accolades, then the community has unresolved issues with Questions that get answered, and never reviewed, and never selected as an answer.
  
  To be honest, I know too many people that can never find the help they need, and can hardly afford the computer they have let alone a technician to fix it. That's why I do it. I honestly don't know how most of the population gets by with all these issues.
  No wonder people get hacked.
  
  For example: what are people to do when I, knowing what I do, repair every single one of my errors in the event viewer of my Windows 7 Pro with upgraded current Windows 10 Anniversary upgrade to creators edition, only to purchase a pre-built custom machine
  (cause I can afford it) only to find the same dang errors that have been around since Windows 95 & Windows 7, on a new freakin' machine!!!
  
  Why post my question to the community, when those same questions, never acknowledged as an Answer, or are still being discussed because of a disagreement between users have been addressed by Microsoft. If I want a response, posting to the insiders is the best
  bet. In my case, I had this issue on my Anniversary upgraded machine, the build was current, users all over the internet had this issue, and no answers, well, one but it didn't work for all the issues, and those users had every kind of hardware spec imaginable
  and still had the same issue. Specifications were meaningless. And I understand the system well enough to know this.
  
  And last but not least, when I get even a Forum Moderator asking things like

• When did you notice that the Night light is not turning on automatically? And I answered that, which at the time was ever since it became available in a current build release, which means always!
  

• What are the troubleshooting steps you've done so far? And the answer should be obvious when I state exactly the conditions to duplicate the problem, specifically

If you're an insider, you check out my issue... since you have the next build before me.

Note: Fastboot state: irrelevant, bug appears if on or off.

1. Night Light settings should be automatic. Shut down the machine after dark, when it should physically work.

Boot machine to desktop. IOW, boot up, log in, and check within two minutes.

2. Check physical state: Since it's dark, the night light should be physically ON! In other words, has the screen been dimmed to exclude selected amount of blue light? IF not physically on, there's the bug, it should be on.

3. Before two minutes pass... right click empty spot on desktop and select Display settings. Does the night light logically/virtually indicate that it is ON! Have less than two minutes passed since you booted to desktop, and the physical state is still
OFF?

3a. If YES, that's the bug!

3b. If NO, then if the Night Light is on, this build fixes it! Otherwise, if the physical state is off.

3b1. Check Night Light settings, If it doesn't indicate the night light is on, turn it on and and start at step 1, or 3b2. if more than 2 minutes have passed, start at step 1 again, and check the state sooner... IF less than 2 minutes have passed, and the
night light physical state is ON, then this build fixed this issue!

Next steps to recreate 2nd issue. NOTE: this can only be done once a day!

1: Boot machine during the day, meaning, during day hours as indicated by the settings for Night Light, for automatic, [today that would be between 6:09am to 8:28 pm]. So, say, 15 minutes before dark, like 8:00pm, when it's still light for your area.

2: Continue to use machine, do not let it sleep, nor hibernate, nor (screen save*), so basically use it until 8:45 pm or 9:00pm, or later while it's dark.

3. Did the night light come on after it got dark? IOW, is the Night Light physically on, after dark automatically.

a: If yes, this build fixes the bug.

b: If NO, check settings to ensure Night Light is On. If the night light is still off, there's the bug! If yes, this build fixes the bug.

c: Confirm bug, click the Night Light setting to turn it "OFF", if the night light come on when you change this state to OFF, there's the bug.

Additional information will give us a clarity to your concern. We would like to know if you are referring to Night Light. If yes, follow these steps to turn off the Night Light:

• Open Settings.
• Click on System.
• Make sure that you are on Display tab, and then toggle the
  Night Light option to Off.
• Click on Night light settings.
• Click on Turn off now button.

Night Light Setting and Third Monitor.

Hi Reagan,

We would like to ask you some questions in order assist you properly:

• Did Night light work previously on all three monitors?
• Have you made any recent changes to your PC?
• Are you getting an error message on the third monitor regarding Night light?
• Is the third monitor being detected by your PC?
• What troubleshooting steps have you performed so far?

While waiting for your response, we suggest that you try to connect your third monitor to what you are using on the 2 working monitors to see if it is only a loose connection issue.
