Windows 10: How to hide a bat file that is opening on startup?

Hi i was just wondering how to hide a bat file that opens a powershell and runs a comand on startup.To run this i am using Run and then "shell:startup".I am runing this command for my window manager:"komorebic start -c "$Env:USERPROFILE\komorebi.json" --whkd"System: Windows 11

How to find the "open with" option for .bat files

Hi, thanks for replying, in that case, we need to add the registry to have it open with, in .bat file, kindly follow the first step from this link:

Once done, restart the PC

Right-click the .bat > click Show more options > click Open with

 

Windows Batch File (.bat) corrupted

i was searching google to find a way to hide images/files in my computer. That's when I came across .bat file. I followed the steps, I setup the password shown in the steps. The .bat file was working well, TO ADD : I was using the .bat file in my External Hard drive to store photos.

Now suddenly the .bat is not opening up, it just asks "Lock the folder (Y/N)". If anyone knows how to retrieve my pictures please let me know. Almost 1.5gb of pictures and files are lost.

If you want to edit the .bat file, you can right-click on the .bat file > Edit to open the edit screen to see its contents.





If you want to execute the .bat file, just double-click the file. Note that in some cases it may be necessary to move the .bat file to the corresponding directory .bat file in order to execute it successfully, depending on how the contents of the .bat file are written.

If you encountered other errors when opening .bat file, please send me a screenshot/photo of the error messge, and include it in the next reply to help me understand your situation better.
